Drive ♥♥♥/♥♥♥
by Nicolas Winding Refn
If lots of people were expecting a new "The Fast and the Furious", I was glad it was not one. This movie was a pure delight for those who like the nice photography, the beautiful images.
When it comes to the story we could start with a " this is a story of a man..." that would make you sigh, but you would agree with it after having watched the movie. I loved the contrast between the violence of some scenes and the very rare dialogues, the slow rhythm of the movie and the fast pace of the actions and the cars scenes.
My favorite tune in the movie : College – A Real Hero
Les adoptés ♥--/♥♥♥
by Mélanie Laurent
If Miss Laurent is good at acting, and if I already gave up about her being a singer, I am not so sure about her being a film director either. Or maybe should she focus on being just a film director instead of being the main actress in her first movie too.
The movie is dealing with a sensitive subject which is the long-span coma. This story should have moved me but it didn't that much. Two scenes did but it should have moved me way more. The actors were good but I feel something was missing. But if we knew directing a movie was so easy, wouldn't we all do it?
